The National Weather Service (NWS) in Gray, Maine, issued a Winter Storm Warning for Northern New Hampshire and a Winter Storm Watch for Central and Southern New Hampshire starting Thursday afternoon and continuing through Friday evening. The New Hampshire Department of Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation remind residents and visitors to be prepared and plan for extra travel time if you must drive.
The timing and duration of this storm Thursday evening through Friday evening means that there are many who will likely be commuting for work. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation recommends that anyone who can defer travel until after the storm to do so in order to allow crews the time that they need to attend to snow removal operations.
