Traffic Impacts for I-95 Construction in Georgia This Week

Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout Southeast Georgia. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue throughout the week from Monday, October 22 continuing through Friday, October 26. I-95 projects of interest that will likely impact traffic are listed below.

All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

Lane closures are scheduled as follows:

Interstate 95

  • Work could be in Camden, Glynn, McIntosh, Liberty, Bryan and Chatham Counties
  • Nightly intermittent single and/or double lane closures 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
  • Numerous projects consist of resurfacing, ramp slab replacement and pavement markers installation.
  • Daytime single lane closures in McIntosh County
  • Southbound in areas between Exit 67 to Exit 58
  • 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday
