The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists there will be a lane shift on Northbound I-95 from Route 1 to the Airport Road Exit 5A Friday March 21st through Saturday morning, March 22nd. The schedule is as follows:
Friday Night (3/21) through Saturday Morning (3/22)
- 5:00 PM – Close and Detour Exit 5A (I-95 Northbound to Airport Road) – Detour route is Exit 5B
- 6:00 PM – I-95 Northbound Single Left Lane Closure at SR 1
- 7:00 PM – Close left Route 1 Northbound to I-95 Northbound on-ramp (3 thru lanes on I-95 NB)
- 9:00 PM – I-95 Northbound lane closure reduction from Route 1 to Airport Road Exit 5A (1 thru lane on I-95 Northbound)
- 7:00 AM – I-95 Northbound lanes begin to re-open (2 thru lanes on I-95 Northbound), Airport Road Exit 5A open
- 8:00 AM – I-95 Northbound lanes continue to re-open (3 thru lanes on I-95 Northbound)
- 10:00 AM – All lanes and ramps open
Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
