The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a pavement rehabilitation project on I-95 in Greenwich and Stamford, between exit 2 and 6 in both the north and southbound directions will begin on March 11, 2024. This project will rehabilitate the existing pavement, upgrade and replace bridge components, and replace traffic loops and signal loops on ramps. Additional work includes replacement of catch basin tops, replacement of small traffic signs and replacement of pavement markings.
This $61,283,925.38 construction project is scheduled to be completed November 30, 2025.

I-95 Northbound Lane Closures
- Monday to Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Sunday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
I-95 Southbound Lane Closures
- Monday to Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Sunday from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
I-95 Ramp Closures
- Monday to Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Friday from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Sunday from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Delavan Ave; Field Point Rd.; Arch St.; Steamboat Rd.; West Ave.; Greenwich Ave.
- Monday to Sunday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
All Other Roadways
- Monday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
I-95 Detour Information
Exit 5 ramps will be closed Monday through Thursday from 8:00 pm. to 6:00 a.m. of the following day as needed on days that are to be determined based on contract work requirements. Prior notifications and Variable Message Signs will be posted accordingly.
