Beginning Thursday evening, September 20, 2018, the departing and entering ramps at Exit 48 and Exit 47 on the Maine Turnpike will be closed in succession in order to safely facilitate current paving operations. The closures will begin at Exit 48 and during that time Exit 47 ramps will be used as an alternate route. Once completed, the ramps at Exit 47 will be closed and Exit 48 will be used as an alternate route. The closures are expected to occur for approximately four hours at each Exit. All ramps will be open for the Friday morning commute.

All work is weather dependent. Message boards will be in place to inform approaching travelers of closures, and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) broadcasts on 1610 AM will also be used to inform drivers. The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding during this construction.
