The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following I-95 highway restrictions for August 20 thru 26, 2016:
Friday and Saturday Nights
- Warwick: I-95 North and South, from the Park Ave. Bridge to Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Friday and Saturday nights, August 19 and 20, from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following day. Expect delays.
Temporary Exit and Ramp Closures
- Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), exit closed for construction, Monday night from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour using Exit 22A (Memorial Blvd.).
- Providence: Access from I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) back to I-95 South will be closed for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.
Extended Lane Closures
- Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), right lane closed for construction, through Tuesday morning at 5 a.m.
Overnight Closures
- Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from the Park Ave. Bridge to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
- Warwick: I-95 North and South from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Weekday Closures
- Warwick: I-95 South at Cowesett Ave., right shoulder closed for sign work, Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
