Ramp, Exit Closures, Detours on I-95 in Rhode Island This Week

I-95 Construction | Providence Rhode Island | I-95 Exit Guide

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) announced the following new I-95 travel advisories. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.

Temporary Exit and Ramp Closures

  • Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), exit closed for construction, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour using Exit 22A (Memorial Blvd.).
  • Providence: Access from I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) back to I-95 South will be closed for construction, Monday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.

Overnight Closures

  • Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from the Park Avenue overpass to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), two left lanes and shoulder closures for bridge work, Monday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
  • Providence: I-95 North and South, from just north of Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Monday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
  • Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating lane and shoulder closures for micro milling, Monday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
