The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following closures on I-95, 95 Express Lanes, SR 112 and I-195 will be scheduled as noted below:
SPECIAL NOTES:
- Drivers should expect delays when traveling along the closure limits. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes during closures.
- Please note that there will be no construction activities while the newly poured concrete pavement cures.
Weekend Closures
Friday, August 16 through Monday, August 19:
- Two to three southbound, I-95 general-purpose lanes will be closed from NW 79 Street to NW 46 Street on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.
- All southbound 95 Express Lanes from the Golden Glades Interchange to SR 112 will be closed on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- The northbound I-95 ramp to westbound SR 112 and eastbound I-195 will be closed on Friday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m., Saturday between the hours of 9 p.m. and 11 a.m., and on Sunday between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue north on I-95 and exit at NW 62 Street
- Turn left at NW 62 Street, then go south on I-95 to access the SR 112 and I-195 ramps
- NOTE: One lane on the northbound I-95 ramp to eastbound I-195 will be closed starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 16 until 6 a.m. on Monday, August 19.
- Two to three northbound, I-95 general purpose lanes will be closed from NW 29 Street to NW 46 Street on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- There will be a full closure of NW 36 Street, from NW 7 Avenue to NW 5 Avenue, on Friday between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., to allow the project contractor to replace the traffic railing on the ramps over the roadways. Drivers should follow the posted detour signs.
Friday, August 23 through Monday, August 26:
- Two to three southbound, I-95 general-purpose lanes will be closed from NW 79 Street to NW 46 Street on Friday and Saturday between the hours 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.
- All southbound 95 Express Lanes from the Golden Glades Interchange to SR 112 will be closed on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- One lane on the westbound I-195 and eastbound SR 112 ramp leading onto northbound I-95 will be continuously closed, starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 23 until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, August 26.
- Both ramps will be completely closed on Friday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m., Saturday between the hours of 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. and on Sunday between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go south on I-95, exit at NW 8 Street, then turn left on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NW 3 Avenue to access I-95 north
- Two to three northbound, I-95 general purpose lanes will be closed from NW 29 Street to NW 46 Street on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.
- There will be a full closure of NW 35 Street and NW 36 Street, from NW 7 Avenue to NW 5 Avenue, on Friday between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., to allow the project contractor to replace the traffic railing on the ramps over the roadways. Drivers should follow the posted detour signs.
Weeknight Closures
- One lane on the westbound I-195 ramp to southbound I-95 will remain continuously closed to allow the contractor to replace the traffic railing. The ramp lane is scheduled to remain closed until September 9, 2019.
- Thursday, August 15 and Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22 – The southbound I-95 ramp to westbound SR 112 and eastbound I-195 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Continue south on I-95, exit at NW 8 Street, then turn left on NW 8 Street
- Turn left on NW 3 Avenue to access I-95 north
- Continue north on I-95 to access the SR 112 and I-195 ramps
- Thursday, August 15 and Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22 – The NW 62 Street ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Go north on NW 7 Avenue
- Turn right on NW 79 Street to access the southbound I-95 entrance ramp
- Thursday, August 15 and Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22 – The southbound I-95 exit ramp to NW 62 Street will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 79 Street/NW 81 Street ramp, then turn right on NW 81 Street
- Turn left on NW 7 Avenue to connect with NW 62 Street
- Thursday, August 15 and Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22 – The southbound I-95 exit ramp to NW 69 Street will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Drivers can:
- Exit at the NW 79 Street/NW 81 Street ramp, then turn right on NW 81 Street
- Turn left on NW 7 Avenue to connect with NW 69 Street
- Thursday, August 15, Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20 – There will be a full closure of NW 36 Street, from NW 7 Avenue to NW 5 Avenue, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., to allow the project contractor to replace the traffic railing on the ramps over the roadways. Drivers should follow the posted detour signs.
- Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22 – There will be a full closure of NW 35 Street and NW 36 Street, from NW 7 Avenue to NW 5 Avenue, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., to allow the project contractor to replace the traffic railing on the ramps over the roadways. Drivers should follow the posted detour signs.
- Thursday, August 15 and Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22 – Three to four southbound, I-95 general-purpose lanes will be closed from NW 79 Street to NW 46 Street between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The third and fourth lanes will be closed at 11 p.m.
- Thursday, August 15 – Two to three northbound, I-95 general-purpose lanes will be closed from NW 29 Street to NW 46 Street between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The third lane will be closed at 11 p.m.
- Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22 – Three to four northbound, I-95 general-purpose lanes will be closed from NW 29 Street to NW 46 Street between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The third and fourth lanes will be closed at 11 p.m.
- Thursday, August 15 – All northbound 95 Express Lanes from SR 112 to the Golden Galdes Interchange will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Please note that this schedule may change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions. The closures are part of I-95 Design/Build Projects to construct five emergency stopping sites on I-95 from NW 62 Street to NW 131 Street, and replace the concrete pavement from NW 29 Street to NW 79 Street as well as the Intelligent Transportation System devices.
