The Florida Department of Transportation reports the weekend closure of the I-95 southbound ramp to Philips Highway is planned.
FDOT plans to close the I-95 southbound exit ramp onto US-1 / Philips Highway beginning Friday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, March 27 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting, as part of the I-95 construction of the Overland Bridge. The closure is needed to complete paving operations.
Motorists traveling I-95 southbound to US-1 / Philips Highway will be detoured to Emerson Street (Exit 347) then back to US-1 / Philips Highway. As an alternate route, travelers will also be able to exit off I-95 southbound at San Marco Boulevard (Exit 350B).
FDOT strives for safe construction zones. Travelers should stay alert and follow the 45 mph posted speed limit through the construction zone.
