As part of the on-going Route 273 and I-95 interchange improvements project, DelDOT announces to motorists that the right lane on Route 273 westbound will be closed between Chapman Road and Harmony Road. In addition, the I-95 southbound on-ramp will be closed and a detour will be in place. This closure is necessary for the contractor to demolish and repave the bridge deck.
Route 273 westbound right lane closure will occur at 6:00 AM on August 9 until 5:00 AM on August 30, pending weather.
Ramp from Route 273 westbound to I-95 southbound closure will occur at 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 18 until 5:00 AM on Monday, August 23, pending weather.
Route 273 westbound left lane will remain OPEN to motorists. I-95 southbound on-ramp detour signage will be posted for motorists.
Detour Route:
Motorists traveling Route 273 westbound to I-95 southbound will be detoured prior to I-95 northbound and use Exit 4B/Route 7 to Exit 165A/I-95 southbound.
