Ramp and Interstate Closure Advisory for the 16@95 Improvement Projects

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) construction partners will close the ramp and interstate lanes at the location below for the 16@95 Improvement Projects, which will widen I-16 and reconstruct the I-16/I-95 Interchange. These closures are necessary for work on the new I-16/I-95 Interchange bridges and for widening activities for I-16.

Daytime Closures

  • Monday, September 27, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Intermittent right and left lane closures at the following locations:
      • I-16 westbound from Pooler Parkway (MP 155) to Dean Forest Road (MP 160)
  • Monday, September 27, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Intermittent right and left lane closures at the following locations:
      • I-16 eastbound from to Dean Forest Road (MP 160) to Pooler Parkway (MP 155)
  • Tuesday, September 28, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Intermittent right and left lane closures at the following locations:
      • I-16 westbound from Pooler Parkway (MP 155) to Dean Forest Road (MP 160)
  • Tuesday, September 28, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Intermittent right and left lane closures at the following locations:
      • I-16 eastbound from to Dean Forest Road (MP 160) to Pooler Parkway (MP 155)
  • Wednesday, September 29, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Intermittent right and left lane closures at the following locations:

      • I-95 northbound @ I-16 overpass (MP 98 to MP 100)
      • I-95 southbound @ I-16 overpass (MP 101 to MP 98)
  • Monday, September 27, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    • I-95 southbound to I-16 eastbound (Exit 99A)
      • Motorists traveling on I-95 southbound should continue past the I-16/ I-95 Interchange, exit at SR 204 (Exit 94) turn left off the ramp, then turn left to access I-95 northbound, then take the I-16 eastbound ramp.
  • Tuesday, September 28, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    • Double lane closures at the following locations;
      • I-95 northbound @ I-16 overpass (MP 98 to MP 100)
      • I-95 southbound @ I-16 overpass (MP 101 to MP 98)
  • Tuesday, September 28, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    • I-95 southbound to I-16 eastbound (Exit 99A)
      • Motorists traveling on I-95 southbound should continue past the I-16/ I-95 Interchange, exit at SR 204 (Exit 94) turn left off the ramp, then turn left to access I-95 northbound, then take the I-16 eastbound ramp.
  • Wednesday, September 29, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    • Double lane closures at the following locations:
      • I-95 northbound @ I-16 overpass (MP 98 to MP 100)
      • I-95 southbound @ I-16 overpass (MP 101 to MP 98)
