The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following I-95 construction traffic impacts associated with the Providence Viaduct project.
- I-95 Providence: Motorists on I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) are experiencing Phase II of our new traffic pattern, with one through lane to the left of the old bridge and two to the right on the new bridge. Exit 21 remains open to the far right.
- I-95 Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 23 (Charles St.) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), two left lanes closed for construction, Friday night, November 4 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following day.
- I-95 Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), exit closed for construction, Sunday-Tuesday nights from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.
- I-95 Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 23 (Charles St.) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), two left lanes closed for construction, Sunday-Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
