Overnight Detours This Week at Jacksonville’s I-95/I-295 Interchange

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have multiple overnight closures and detours throughout the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project for roadway and bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Please note that times may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.

Closures scheduled through Thursday, March 28 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • U.S. 17 closed: Northbound drivers will detour to Busch Drive to I-95 north and take Airport Road to reconnect with U.S. 17. Southbound drivers will detour to Airport Road to I-95 South and take Busch Drive to reconnect with U.S. 17.
  • I-295 West closed: Drivers will detour to U.S. 17 to Airport Road and take I-95 South to reconnect with I-295 West.
  • I-95 North to I-295 West exit closed: Drivers will detour to Airport Road and take I-95 South to connect with I-295 West.

Closures scheduled Monday, March 25 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-295 East to I-95 North exit closed: Drivers will detour to U.S. 17 and take Airport Road to connect with I-95 North.
  • I-95 North to I-295 East exit closed: Drivers will detour to Busch Drive and take U.S. 17 to connect with I-295 East.
  • I-295 East to U.S. 17 exit closed: Drivers will detour to Pulaski Road and take I295 West to connect with U.S. 17.
  • I-295 East closed: Drivers to I-95 South to Busch Drive and take I-95 North to reconnect with I-295 West.

Please note that drivers on I-295 East can expect lane shifts and new traffic patterns as the work progresses. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay close attention to new signs and pavement markings.

This work is part of a new phase of construction on the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project. The interchange upgrades are part of an important effort to promote economic growth and development in the region.
