As part of the on-going SR 141/I-95 Ramp Interchange Project, the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that on Monday, November 6 through Wednesday November 8 (Hours 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night) will be closing/shifting lanes on I-295 northbound to I-95 northbound between Exit 5 and past Route 141 northbound interchange. In addition, Exit 2/SR 141 southbound to I-295 northbound will be closed those nights.
On Wednesday, November 8 evening (Hours 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.) through the morning of Friday, November 10, I-95 northbound will be closing/shifting lanes to I-295 northbound AND the ramps to SR 141 northbound and southbound to I-95 northbound. The nighttime lane and ramps closures are necessary for bridge pier demolition.
Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7
Exit 2/SR 141 southbound ramp to I-295 northbound will be closed. Motorists traveling on SR 141 southbound will follow detour signs to Commons Boulevard to Churchmans Road to I-95 northbound to I-295 northbound.
I-295 northbound motorists will use the right lane signed for I-95 northbound and stay on the right lane of I-95 and then use the temporary crossover just past the work zone to go back onto I-295 northbound.
Wednesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 9
Exit 3A/SR 141 southbound to I-95 northbound will be closed. Motorists traveling on SR 141 southbound will follow detour signs to Commons Boulevard to Churchmans Road to I-95 northbound.
Exit 3A/SR 141 northbound to I-95 northbound will be closed. Motorists traveling east on Commons Boulevard will follow detour signs to U-Turn onto Commons Boulevard heading west to Churchmans Road to I-95 northbound to I-295 northbound.
Motorists traveling on SR 141 northbound will follow detour signs to Commons Boulevard to Churchmans Road to I-95 northbound.
On I-95 northbound, motorists will use the right lanes signed for I-295 northbound and stay on the left lane of I-295 northbound and then use the temporary crossover, just past the work zone to go back onto I-95 northbound.
