The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that their contractor Pennoni will be inspecting the bridge on Salem Church Road over I-95 northbound/southbound in Newark.
Sunday, May 9 and Monday, May 10
- Motorists should expect alternating double right and double left lane closures from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on I-95 northbound between Exit 1/Route 896 and Exit 3/Route 273.
- Motorists will be able to access to the Biden Welcome Center at all times.
Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 12
- Motorists should expect alternating double right and double left lane closures from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on I-95 southbound between Exit 3/Route 273 and Exit 1/Route 896.
- Motorists will be able to access to the Biden Welcome Center and reenter onto I-95 from the Biden Welcome Center at all times.
In the event of rain, the inspection will proceed on Friday, May 13.
Motorists should be aware that bridge personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to the travel lanes and anticipate lane shifts.
