The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) reports that the ride along a 13-mile stretch of I-95 north of Fayetteville is now smoother and less congested.
Contractors for NCDOT have opened all eight lanes of the newly widened Interstate highway between Exits 58 and 71 in Cumberland and Harnett counties.
More construction is underway to widen and modernize the interstate north and south of this section, so drivers can expect to see more improvements in the coming years.
