As part of the on-going Route 141 Improvements, I-95 Interchange to Jay Drive Project, The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that there will be nighttime paving on multiple ramps.
Times and Dates: 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM (Monday through Friday) starting on Thursday, November 11 and ending on Friday, November 19, pending weather.
Locations: Exits 5A and 5B on I-95 southbound AND Exits 3B on Route 141 northbound and southbound, Newport.
Detour Routes:
Motorists traveling on I-95 southbound intending to exit onto Route 141 northbound or southbound will be directed to continue south on I-95 to Exit 4B/ Churchmans Crossing Route 7 northbound and Route 58 Westbound to the ramp to Route 7 Northbound to continue straight on Route 4 Eastbound to reach the ramps for Route 141 northbound and southbound in Newport.
Motorists traveling on Route 141 northbound intending to exit onto I-95 southbound will be directed to turn left on Route 37 Eastbound/Commons Boulevard prior to the I-95 Interchange then to turn right onto Route 58 westbound/Churchmans Road and then turn left onto Routes 1/7 southbound to reach Exit 165A to I-95 southbound.
A secondary detour will direct motorists who pass Route 37 to use Exit 4 to reach Route 4 Eastbound to Routes 1/7 Southbound to Exit 166 then across Route 58/ Churchmans Road to reach Exit 165A to I-95 southbound.
Motorists traveling on Route 141 southbound intending to exit onto I-95 southbound will be directed to continue south on Route 141 to turn right on Route 37 Eastbound/Commons Boulevard after the I-95 Interchange then to turn right onto Route 58 Westbound/Churchmans Road and turn left onto Routes 1/7 southbound to reach Exit 165A to I-95 southbound.
Variable message boards and detour routes will be posted for motorists.
