The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) encourages anyone traveling during this Presidents Day holiday period to monitor roadway and weather conditions, plan ahead, and be cognizant of the current COVID-19 protocols and procedures such as wearing face coverings, maintaining social distancing, and following quarantine travel guidelines.

“We are encouraging members of the public who are planning to travel around Presidents’ Day to plan ahead, use available traffic and weather resources and tools and be familiar with current COVID guidelines before you leave home,” said Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver. “COVID guidance is readily available to help inform travelers of potential impacts and current restrictions that are in place to help keep everyone healthy and safe during this challenging time.”

General information regarding COVID-19 and specific guidance on traveling during the pandemic, including the need to quarantine for 14 days when returning to Massachusetts after visiting specific identified states, can be found at www.mass.gov/coronavirus.
