The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following lane clousres, ramp closures, detours and other highway restrictions on I-95 this week.
Weekend Closures
- Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 16 (Rte. 10) to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge painting, Friday and Saturday nights, October 14 and 15, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Detour possible.
Temporary Exit and Ramp Closures
- Providence: I-95 South at Exit 22 (Downtown Providence/Rtes. 6 & 10), exit closed for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from midnight to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.
- Providence: Access from the Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) ramp to I-95 South will be closed, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.
Overnight Closures
- Cranston: I-95 North and South under Rte. 10, alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Sunday and Monday nights from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day.
- Sunday night: I-95 North
- Monday night: I-95 South
- Cranston: I-95 South Service Roads under Rte. 10, alternating lane and shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day.
- Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 16 (Rte. 10) to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work and painting, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Detours possible.
- Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 13 (Airport Connector) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work and painting, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
- Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 23 (Rte. 146/State Offices) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), alternating lane closures for construction, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
- West Greenwich to Hopkinton: I-95 North and South, from Exit 6 (Rte. 3) to the Connecticut state line, expect alternating lane closures in a moving operation for striping, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Weekday Closures
- Hopkinton: I-95 South, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 1 (Rte. 3), right shoulder closed in a moving operation for drainage work, Monday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
