The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following I-95 construction and maintenance operations that will result in travel restrictions through Friday, July 28, 2017.
Overnight Restrictions
- Cranston/Providence: I-95 North and South, from Elmwood Ave. to Eddy St., alternating lane closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
- Richmond/Hopkinton: I-95 South, from Rte. 3 to the Connecticut state line, left lane closed in a moving operation for weed whacking in the center barrier, Monday night from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Weekday Restrictions
- Cranston to Cumberland: Expect right shoulder closures in a moving operation for survey work at the following locations on I-295 North and South, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: at Exit 4 (Rte. 14); at the Rte. 6A Bridge in Johnston; at the Rte. 6 Bridge in Johnston; at the on-ramp from Rte. 6 to I-295 North in Johnston; at the Greenville Ave. Bridge in Johnston; and at the Leigh Rd. Bridge in Cumberland.
- Hopkinton to Pawtucket: Expect right shoulder closures in a moving operation for survey work at the following locations on I-95 North and South, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: at the Mechanic St. Bridge in Richmond, between Exit 2 (Hopkinton) and Exit 3B (Rte. 138); at the Tefft Hill Trail Bridge in Exeter, between Exit 4 (Rte. 3) and Exit 5 (Rte. 102); at Exit 10B (Rte. 117 West); at the Oxford St. Bridge in Providence; and at Exit 30 (East St.)
- Providence/East Providence: Expect right shoulder closures in a moving operation for survey work at the following locations on I-195 East and West, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: at the Gano St. Bridge in Providence; and at the Valley St. Bridge in East Providence.
Ongoing Restrictions
- Exeter/Richmond: Watch for construction vehicles exiting and entering the median area along I-95 South after Exit 5 (Rte. 102) at the Tefft Hill Trail Bridge, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Summer 2017.
