The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in New London from Monday, April 12th, 2021, through Friday, April 30, 2021.
The project consists of night work between the hours of 7:30 PM to 5:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, to perform concrete deck repairs.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction LLC.
Motorists can expect various lane closures on Interstate 95 northbound from Exit 82 to Exit 85 in the towns of Waterford, New London, and Groton. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
