The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance operation will be performed on Bridge 00354 which carries Vauxhall Street Extension over I-95 in New London and Waterford. Work is scheduled to occur on Tuesday night, July 6, through Friday morning, August 13, 2021.
Motorists can expect left lane closures on I-95 in New London and Waterford, southbound between Exit 84 and Exit 82 (SR 623) and northbound between Exit 82 to South Frontage Road (SR 624). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 pm to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday night, July 6, 2021 through Friday morning, August 13, 2021.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
