The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 southbound in Greenwich. The work consists of concrete header repairs to Bridge 0001 carrying I-95 over the Byram River. Work is scheduled to occur the night of Monday, December 7, 2020, to the morning of Friday, December 18, 2020.
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Greenwich between Exit 2 in Connecticut and Exit 21 in New York. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00pm to 5:00am (Monday night through Friday morning).
Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
