The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has begun work to rehabilitate the I-95 Exit 2 bridge in North Hampton this week.
Work this fall will include placing barrier, removing the raised concrete median and snow shelf, and installing shielding below the bridge over I-95. Following a winter shutdown, the bridge deck and approaches will be replaced one half at a time.
This project will include both day and night work, and will require some overnight lane closures on I-95 and detours around Exit 2. Motorists should exercise caution when driving through the construction zone.
This work is part of the North Hampton 42979 project. New England Infrastructure of Hudson, Massachusetts is the prime contractor for the $4.9 million project, which is scheduled to be completed in November 2023.
