Is the wildly popular Texas-based travel center chain looking to open up another location off I-95 in Coastal Georgia?
The Glynn County, Georgia Planning and Zoning Commission has recently approved plans for a large new travel center, to be located in Brunswick at 7156 Highway 99, just off I-95, exit 42.
While the company behind the proposed travel center was never named publicly, indications are that it will be a a Buc-ee’s.
Approved project plans propose a 136,000 square foot building with 120 fueling stations. Additionally, the travel center is expected to employ at least 200 full-time workers. Architectural renderings submitted to the planning and zoning commission are also more or less identical to a standard Buc-ee’s Travel center configuration.
As more information becomes available, it will be posted on this website.
