The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following travel restrictions associated with I-95 construction and maintenance operations:
Overnight Restrictions
- Providence: I-195 East and West, from Exit 1 (Point St./Eddy St.) to Exit 2 (India St./South Main St.), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Thursday night from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following day.
Weekday Restrictions
- Cranston: I-95 North at the Exit 16 (Rte. 10) interchange, shoulder closures with ramp narrowing for highway lighting work, Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- East Greenwich to Cranston: I-95 North and South, at the on- and off-ramps from Exit 6A (Hopkins Hill Rd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), partial right lane closures in a moving operation for pothole patching, Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect delays.
- Exeter/Richmond: I-95 North and South, from Exit 4 (Rte. 3) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), lane and shoulder closures for survey work, thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Hopkinton: I-95 North and South, from Exit 3 (Rte. 138) to the Wood River Valley Bridge over Mechanic St., lane and shoulder closures for survey work, thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Providence: I-95 North, from Exit 16 (Rte. 10) to Exit 18 (Thurbers Ave.), left lane and shoulder closures for electrical work, Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Richmond to West Greenwich: I-95 North and South, from Exit 1 (Rte. 3) to Exit 6A (Hopkins Hill Rd.), partial lane closures in a moving operation for pothole patching, Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect delays.
- Warwick: I-95 North, from Exit 9 (Rte. 4) to Exit 12 (Rte. 113), shoulder closures for highway lighting work, Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
