The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces an I-95 traffic alert that will require daytime closure of the ramps from northbound and southbound Rt 896 onto southbound I-95 for clearing and utility work, overnight closure of the ramp from southbound Rt 896 onto northbound I-95 for drainage work, and overnight closure of the ramp from northbound Rt 896onto northbound I-95for a traffic pattern switch. Overnight lane closures will also be required on northbound I-95 (traffic pattern switch), southbound Rt 896 (drainage), and Rt 72 (demolition shield).
I-95 RAMP CLOSURES
- Monday July 10 through Friday July 14: Day time Ramp Closure – northbound and southbound Route 896 onto southbound I-95. (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Monday July 10, Tuesday July 11, and Thursday July 13: Overnight Ramp Closure – southbound Route 896 onto northbound I-95. (9:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
- Wednesday July 12: Overnight Ramp Closure – northbound Route 896 onto northbound I-95. (9:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Tuesday July 11 and Wednesday July 12: Overnight Lane Closures – northbound I-95, toll plaza to north of the Route 896 Interchange. (6:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Thursday July 13 and Friday July 14: Overnight Lane Closures, northbound I-95, toll plaza to north of the Route 896 interchange. (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Route 896 LANE CLOSURES
- Wednesday July 12: Overnight Lane Closure, southbound Route 896, I-95 interchange to Old Baltimore Pike (10:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
- Friday July 14 (if needed): Overnight Lane Closure, southbound Route 896, I-95 interchange to Old Baltimore Pike (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
SR 72 LANE CLOSURES
- Monday July 10: Overnight Lane Closure – Route 72 between Scottfield Drive and Peoples Drive. Flaggers will direct traffic. (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
