Nightly full closures continue at the entrance and exit ramps at Okeechobee Road/SR 70 (Exit 129) for paving. These ramp closures will occur from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and are anticipated to be completed by May 23 The schedule for these ramp closures is as follows, weather & production permitting:
COMPLETED: SB I-95 Exit Ramp at SR 70 (Exit 129) – Motorists should detour south on I-95 to Midway Road/Exit 126, go eastbound on Midway Road and re-enter I-95, heading northbound to SR 70.
COMPLETED: Eastbound SR 70 to Southbound I-95 Entrance Ramp – Motorists should detour north on I-95 to Orange Avenue/Exit 131, go westbound on Orange Avenue and re-enter I-95, heading southbound.
May 12: Westbound SR 70 to Southbound I-95 Entrance Ramp – Motorists should detour north on I-95 to Orange Avenue/Exit 131, go westbound on Orange Avenue and re-enter I-95, heading southbound.
May 22: Northbound I-95 Exit Ramp at SR 70 (Exit 129) – Motorists should detour north on I-95 to Orange Avenue/Exit 131, go westbound on Orange Avenue and re-enter I-95, heading southbound to SR 70.
In the event of rain, the ramp closure will occur the following evening. No more than one ramp will be closed at a time.
This work is part of the I-95 bridge deck replacement project over Glades Cut Off Road & FEC Railroad and over Ten Mile Creek (just south of Okeechobee Rd./Exit 129). Work on this project includes: replacing the bridge decks on I-95 over Glades Cut Off Road & the FEC Railroad and over Ten Mile Creek; milling and resurfacing approaches to bridge decks; re-striping approaches to bridge decks.
