Advisory for Motorists
We strongly recommend avoiding the area during the closure. The on-ramp to I-95 northbound at Exit 17 is already closed and will remain so during the weekend of November 3 through November 6. Additionally, Exit 17 off-ramps from I-95 northbound and I-95 southbound will also be closed. Saugatuck Avenue (Route 33) will be closed to both motorists and pedestrians between the on and off-ramps.

For easy navigation during the closure, detour routes have been established:
I-95 Southbound at Exit 17:
- Two lanes of I-95 southbound traffic will be directed onto the new I-95 northbound side with channelizing devices. Expect traffic disruptions.
I-95 Northbound On Ramp at Exit 17:
- Take the detour to Saugatuck Avenue, Riverside Avenue, Route 1, Sherwood Island Connector, and I-95 northbound at Exit 18.
I-95 Northbound Off Ramp at Exit 17:
- Follow the detour to Exit 18, Sherwood Island Connector, Route 1, Riverside Avenue, and Saugatuck Avenue.
I-95 Southbound Off Ramp at Exit 17:
- Use the detour to Exit 18, Sherwood Island Connector, Route 1, Riverside Avenue, and Saugatuck Avenue.
Saugatuck Avenue at Exit 17:
- Traffic and pedestrian detours will be in place, with instructions to Park Street, Franklin Street, and Saugatuck Avenue.
