I-95 Ramp to Close for Bridge Construction in Pennsylvania, Delays Expected

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the ramp from Route 352 (Edgmont Avenue) to southbound Interstate 95 is scheduled to close Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21, and Monday, November 27, through Friday, December 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for construction activities related to a project to rehabilitate eight bridges over I-95 and CSX Railroad in the City of Chester, Delaware County,

During the daytime closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 352 (Edgmont Avenue), U.S. 13 (9th Street) and Kerlin Street to access southbound I-95.

In addition to the ramp closure, overnight lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Interstate 476 (Exit 7) and Route 352/Route 320 (Exit 6) interchanges on Monday, November 20, and Tuesday, November 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
