The North Carolina Department of Transportation reports that drivers on Interstate 95 North will encounter work zones on Monday in Robeson County where contract crews will make emergency repairs to sections of damaged cable guide rail.
The following repairs affecting northbound traffic only have been scheduled for Monday:
- Mile markers 35 and 37 – left (median) shoulder closed from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
- Mile markers 23-26 – left lane closed from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Guardrail maintenance contract crews will make the repairs to the sections that have been damaged by recent vehicle crashes in the highway median.
Drivers should expect to encounter slowed traffic, especially during the nighttime lane closure, and they should be mindful of workers in those areas.
