As part of the on-going I-95, Carr & Marsh Road Interchange project, The Delaware Department of Transportation announces to motorists that Exit 9/I-95 Northbound to Marsh Road will reopen on Sunday evening. When exiting from I-95, motorists will come to the NEW traffic signal at Carr Road. Carr Road will also be reopened between Rockwood Business Park and Marsh Road to all traffic.
WHEN: 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019
WHERE: Exit 9/I-95 Northbound to Marsh Road; Carr Road west of Marsh Road; and Marsh Road southbound to I-95 South.
Additionally, the I-95 Southbound On-Ramp from Marsh Road southbound will be reopened.
Left turn movements from Marsh Road to Carr Road and left turns to I-95 southbound will not be permitted. Detours will remain in place for the duration of the construction project in 2020.
Motorists are advised to use caution in the area as construction is still on-going.
Traffic on the I-95 Southbound Ramp when headed south on Marsh Road and coming north on Marsh Road will utilized the following detour routes.
Detour Routes:
Traffic traveling north on Marsh Road to I-95 southbound will make a left onto Washington Street, make a right onto US 202/Concord Pike to I-95 southbound.
Traffic traveling north on Marsh Road that misses the detour, can proceed north onto Marsh Road, make a left onto Wilson Road, make a left onto Foulk Road, make a left onto US 202/Concord Pike and continue onto I-95 southbound.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
