The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on I-95, northbound and southbound, in Old Saybrook, Westbrook and Clinton beginning on Monday, September 18 through Friday, September 29, 2023. The project consists of tree and vegetation removal from Exit 62 in Old Saybrook to Exit 68 in Clinton.
I-95 Lane Closure Information
I-95 motorists can expect right-lane and shoulder closures, southbound, from Exit 62 in Old Saybrook (mile point 66.73) to Exit 68 (mile point 78.07) in Clinton and I-95, northbound, from Exit 68 (mile point 78.07) in Clinton to Exit 62 (mile point 66.73) in Old Saybrook. One (1) state trooper, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
I-95 motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
