Lane closures are scheduled next week on Route 309 in Bucks County and Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, July 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on Route at Lawn Avenue in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County; and
- Tuesday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Castor Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
