The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) reports the following I-95 road and lane closures, effective for the week of March 30 – April 5, 2024. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
I-95 North Viaduct, Providence
Providence: I-95 North at Exit 37 B,C,D interchange, expect various off-ramp closures for pile driving operations as necessary, Sunday – Thurs. nights, 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Follow signed detour.
Providence: I-95 North, from Exit 37A to 39A, alternating lane closures for pile driving operations, Sunday night, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 am. and Monday – Thursday nights, 9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
I-95 Overnight Closures
Hopkinton: I-95 South, from Exit 1 to the Conn. line, alternating lane closures for pavement improvements, Monday – Friday nights (April 5), 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Expect delays.
Smithfield: I-295, under Rte. 44, alternating lane closures bridge construction, Tuesday – Thursday. nights, 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
Warwick: I-95 South between Exit 27A and 24B, and North, between Exit 24B and Exit 27, alternating lane closures for sign work, Sunday – Wednesday nights, 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.
