The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports the following traffic impacts associated with I-95 construction and maintenance work in the Fredericksburg area thru Saturday, August 10, 2024. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
I-95 Northbound and Southbound
Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) to Exit 140 (Courthouse Road)
Thru Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures for bridge maintenance at mile marker 137, at the Potomac Creek bridge. Single lane closure begins at 9:00 p.m. followed by a double lane closure starting at 10:00 p.m.
Exit 143 (Aquia/Garrisonville) to Exit 148 (Quantico)
Thru Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures for bridge maintenance at mile marker 145, at the Aquia Creek Bridge. Single lane closure begins at :00 p.m. followed by a double lane closure starting at 1:00 p.m.
I-95 Northbound
Exit 126 (Spotsylvania)
Thru Tuesday, Midnight – 4:30 a.m. Left lane closure for construction.
Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) to Exit 140 (Courthouse Road)
Thru Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures for milling and paving at mile markers 137-140. Single lane closure begins at 9:00 p.m. followed by a double lane closure starting at 10:00 p.m.
Exit 140 (Courthouse Road) Off-Ramp Closure
Wednesday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Off-ramp closed for milling and paving. Drivers should access exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) or exit 143 (Aquia/Garrisonville) depending on their destination. Message boards will be posted during ramp closure.
I-95 Southbound
Exit 110 (Ladysmith) to Exit 104 (Carmel Church)
Monday – Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 7 :00a.m., Friday, 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Saturday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. and Sunday, 8:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Right lane closure for shoulder work at mile markers 108-107.
