The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will perform nighttime work on I-95 southbound and will start from the Exit 4 on ramp (mile marker 13.6) to Exit 3A off ramp (mile marker 13.0). This work will consist of the placement of portable concrete barriers along the right shoulder.

Weather dependent, work hours will begin on Tuesday March 11, 2025, through Thursday March 13, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM.  This work will require the closure of the southbound right lane and shoulder of I-95 from the Exit 4 on ramp (mile marker 13.8) to the Exit 3A off ramp (mile marker 13.0).

Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the travelling public. Motorists should exercise caution when driving through the construction zone.

This work is part of the construction of two sound abatement walls and privacy fence along I-95 in Portsmouth. The $18.7 million project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2025.
