The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that on Thursday, June 18, 2020 road striping operations will be conducted on the Piscataqua River (I-95) Bridge.

Work will begin on the southbound lanes at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crews will then move to the northbound lanes. Striping is expected to be completed before sunrise on Friday, June 19, 2020.

This work will require multiple lane closures and traffic pattern changes. The northbound striping work will also involve the temporary closure of the Exit 7 on-ramp in Portsmouth, NH. Traffic will be detoured to the Route 1 Bypass. Signs for this detour are already posted as an existing truck detour. Motorists should exercise caution while traveling through construction zones and follow all posted signs.

This project is weather dependent and is part of the larger Piscataqua River Bridge project, which is a collaboration involving the Maine Department of Transportation, the Maine Turnpike Authority, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
