Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin work to rehabilitate the I-95 bridge over the South Anna River on Monday, March 3. This work will be carried out through a series of extended lane closures on I-95 near Doswell, from mile marker 97.6 to mile marker 95.6 in Hanover County.
Single left lane closures are scheduled to begin on I-95 south near Doswell, from mile marker 97.6 to mile marker 95.6 at 9 p.m. on Monday, March 3, continuing through 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 6. Additional lane closures will be announced as work progresses.
Motorists should anticipate significant delays. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes during this period to avoid severe backups and ensure smoother travel.
