Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists in Bucks County will encounter single lane closures in both directions between the Academy Road and U.S. 1 interchanges on Monday, January 28, through Friday, February 1, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for subbase installation on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
