Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation will be installing nighttime lane closures on I-95 in a two mile section between Jimmy DeLoach Parkway/Exit 106 and SR 21/Exit 109 in both directions now through Wednesday night April 26 from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Law Enforcement will be on site to enhance safety.
Contractors will be working on three bridges simultaneously in this area, which are St. Augustine Bridge and two bridges over CSX railroad between milepost 107.5 and milepost 108.5.
These temporary lane closures are necessary to lay polymer overlay on the bridge decks and replace bridge joints as part of I-95 bridge preservation project in Chatham County.
Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; read signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected.
