The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that pavement coring will be performed on I-95 in West Haven. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, February 6 at 9:00 p.m. and be completed on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. This project consists of replacing the bridge carrying I-95 over First Avenue and the bridge carrying I-95 over Metro North in West Haven.
This $96,688,000 project is scheduled to be completed in June 2027.
I-95 Closure/Detour Info
There will be a shoulder closure on I-95 northbound in West Haven between Exit 43 and 44 from Thursday, February 6 to Friday, February 7, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Traffic control sign patterns and State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
