The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction, on or about January 23, 2020, for the project to replace the bridge that carries Beachside Avenue over Interstate 95 in Westport.
In order to facilitate the removal of the existing superstructure and the placement of the new structure, a closure and detour will be required for Beachside Avenue, tentatively scheduled to begin on March 1, 2021, and ending on or before October 10, 2021. An additional press release will be issued in advance of the closure.
The project is expected to be complete in December 2021.
