We’re now at the height of hurricane season, and yes, here comes another one…

A Tropical Storm Watch was issued by the National Hurricane Center today for parts of Florida while Tropical Storm Humberto is expected to form by Saturday morning as the system moves up the east coast.

The system is expected to become a tropical storm and bring tropical-storm-force winds and heavy rainfall to portions of the Florida east coast and along I-95 over the weekend. Residents should monitor the progress and follow any advice given by local officials.

Heavy rainfall is expected across portions of eastern Florida and I-95 into this weekend, which could produce flash flooding. There is greater uncertainty than usual in heavy rainfall prospects farther north along I-95 across the Carolinas.
