Highway Restrictions on I-95 in Rhode Island This Week

I-95 Highway Restrictions in Rhode Island will result in ramp, lane and shoulder closures as reported by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. These restrictions will take place from Saturday, October 1 thru Friday, October 7, 2016.

Temporary Ramp Closure

  • Providence: Access from the Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) ramp to I-95 South will be closed, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.

Overnight Closures

  • Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 16 (Rte. 10) to Exit 14 (Rte. 37), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
  • Cranston/Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 13 (Airport Connector) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating two left lane and two right lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
  • West Greenwich to Hopkinton: I-95 North and South, from Exit 6 (Rte. 3) to the Connecticut state line, expect alternating lane closures in a moving operation for striping, Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
