According to the National Weather Service, significant ice and snow will impact I-95 travelers as cooler air arrives tonight into Saturday. This will set the stage for the first widespread moderate to heavy snowfall of the season. A large swath of 4 to 7 inches of snow is expected later Saturday through early Sunday.
Snow will overspread the region from west to east Saturday afternoon and continue Saturday night.
- Highest snowfall amounts are expected over central and northern New Hampshire and southwest Maine
- Snow may mix with sleet across northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire
- Precipitation will likely be rain near the Seacoast
- Snow will end quickly Sunday morning followed by gusty northwest winds
