The Maine Turnpike Authority reports that beginning at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, traffic stops of up to 25 minutes will occur in Scarborough at mile 44 on the Maine Turnpike (I-95) for the placement of structural steel at the Cummings Road Bridge. The mainline stoppages are scheduled to occur in both directions on Wednesday and Thursday nights between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM the following morning.

Coinciding with the mainline stoppages, the southbound Exit 45 ramp will experience closures of up to 25 minutes both nights. Additional stoppages and ramp closures may be required during the week of July 14.

All work is weather dependent. Motorists should prepare for delays or seek alternate travel routes during the stoppages. Message boards will be in place to inform approaching travelers and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) broadcasts on 1610 AM will also be used to inform drivers. The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding during this construction.
