The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that paving, striping and related work between the Exit 8/ US 202 interchange and the 2nd Street on-ramp will require the extended weekend closure of I-95 Southbound through Wilmington. The closure will begin at 9:00 am Friday, October 14th and continue until 5:00 am Tuesday, October 18th. The 2nd Street on-ramp to I-95 Southbound will remain open during this closure.
Detours:
I-95 Southbound – Motorists coming from Pennsylvania will be directed to use I-495 Southbound. Local traffic entering I-95 Southbound will be detoured off at Exit 8/ US 202, and directed to Southbound 141 back to I-95 Southbound.
