The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will have a mobile operation requiring double lane closures on Interstate 95 southbound in Caroline County this week to replace the reflective lens on the raised pavement markers.
Starting Monday, February 4, drivers should anticipate daytime double lane closures on I-95 southbound in Caroline County. Motorists should use caution approaching the mobile operation.
Weather permitting, the work is scheduled for the following days and times:
Interstate 95 Southbound
- Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Friday, 9 a.m. –12 p.m.
The mobile operation will start at the Spotsylvania County line, which is at mile marker 117, and move south to the Hanover County line, which is at mile marker 101.
Motorists should expect slow moving construction equipment and delays near the portable work zone.
