The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts as a result of I-95 construction and maintenance activities, through Friday, February 23, 2018:
Temporary Short-Duration Interstate Closures
- Hopkinton-Exeter: I-95 North and South, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), approximately 15-minute short-duration rolling roadblock interstate closures for construction, Tuesday night from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. Temporary on-ramp closures at the Exit 3 (Rte. 138) interchange will also be needed.
Overnight Closures
- Hopkinton-Exeter: I-95 North and South, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), lane closures with traffic shifted to the right shoulder for construction, Tuesday night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
- West Greenwich: I-95 North and South, from Exit 5A (Rte. 102 South) to Exit 5B (Rte. 102 North), lane closures for construction, Monday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Weekday Closures
- Hopkinton-Exeter: I-95 North and South, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), right lane and shoulder closures for construction, Monday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Richmond/Exeter: I-95 North and South, from Exit 3 (Rte. 138) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), right lane and shoulder closures for construction, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Hopkinton/Richmond: I-95 North and South, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 3 (Rte. 138), right lane and shoulder closures for construction, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Warwick to Johnston: I-295 North and South, from I-95 to Exit 9A (Rte. 6 East), right lane and shoulder closures in a moving operation for pothole patching, Monday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect delays.
